Follow Friday [19]

This Week's Question: Let's step away from besties...What is the worst book that you've ever read and actually finished?

My Answer:
I guess this isn't much of a surprise...but really, it was disgustingly terrible. The rest of the series is way worse (especially Breaking Dawn), but I don't think they count as "actually finished" because I just skimmed through New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn so that when I bash Twilight, I can say that I've read the whole series.

  1. So many interesting choices. I have this thing where I have to keep reading because I feel like the book might get better. I think Breaking Dawn was my least favourite of this series. Happy weekend.

  2. I haven't read twilight, so I won't say anything about it...other than that from what my sisters told me Bella would have driven me crazy. =)

  3. I'm ashamed to say I actually quite liked twilight when I first read it, but after I read BD and hated it I went back and read the first 3 amd realised how terrible they were...so atleast I eventually came to hate them. Ta for stopping by Emily!

  4. Hi! I'm a new follower. I had a like/hate relationship with this series. Love/hate is just to strong for these. They drove me crazy, but I had to keep reading and I hated myself for it. ;D

    Have a great weekend!

  5. Excuse me, but I beg to differ. This is one of the most beautiful, romantic, suspenseful, and poignant books I've ever read. Although I love the entire Twilight Saga, I love the first volume most of all. It really touched my heart, and I don't care who thinks I'm a dork because I say so. I have read "Twilight" three times, and the entire series twice. I will never, never, never grow tired of it! I consider Stephenie Meyer a very talented writer, right along with J.K. Rowling and J.R.R. Tolkien!

Even if we don't have the same literary tastes, we can all coexist. Peace & blessings!! : )

  6. Maria, I'm sorry that we don't agree, but as long as you consider J. K. Rowling a very talented writer, I am not going to argue with you :)

  8. Hopping through. As you can guess from my Avatar, I love Twilight, but I totally understand why people don't like it. I'm kind of surprised that I loved it as much as I did.

  9. Hi, again, Emily! By the way, I neglected to mention that I follow your blog...should have done so right away!

My purpose was not to argue with you, since arguing (especially about books) is not conducive to a pleasant blogging experience. Lol.

I just wanted to give my opinion. And I'm glad you like J.K. Rowling! In fact, Rowling, Meyer, and Tolkien are on my list of favorite authors.

I just hsd to say that I love the Twilight books, and am not at all ashamed of saying that.

And one more thing -- I LOVE your blog's design! It's VERY beautiful!!

    Have a great weekend!! : )
